Can you say picture perfect catalog family?? This lovely family moved here recently from Utah and I am SO happy they asked me to photograph their family! The mom is a really talented photographer herself, so I was a little nervous starting out but they could not have been sweeter. These creamy neutrals with a pop of blue are some of my favorite color combinations and always flattering to the eye. This session was shot at Spooner Lake in Glenbrook Nevada, just minuets outside of Lake Tahoe in mid August.
This extended family photo session took place in Lake Tahoe, on the Nevada side near Secret Beach. Each summer I get to meet such fun and fabulous families that come in to town to visit the sparkling clear waters of Lake Tahoe. This darling family was visiting from Utah with their four sons and grandchildren. I am always so grateful when complete strangers reach out to me because they admire my work. Thank you Haslam family for your kindness and generosity. I hope you enjoyed your stay and will visit Tahoe often! My extended family sessions consist of large group photos, individual family photos, couple photos, and any other variations and candid shots we can squeeze in. These sessions tend to run just over an 1 hour. If you are interested in booking your own family session (extended or immediate) I would love to work with you!!
Last fall when I received a phone call about a beauty and the beast themed wedding, I remember thinking "oh my gosh I really hope this couple picks me to be their photographer!". Getting to be with Jeff and Katie on their wedding day was AMAZING. The attention to detail that Quality Event Design put into coordinating and decorating the reception was right out of a Disney storybook. I absolutely loved getting to be part of this special day and wish nothing but a wonderful life to these three (can't forget about Luke!) in the years to come. The wedding took take place at one of my favorite northern California venues, the Corner Barn in Graeagle. Since the couple chose not to do a first look (where they see each other prior to the ceremony) the photo of the groom, and the bride's son embraced in a tearful hug as they both watched her walk down the aisle is hands down one of my all time favorite photos ever
Featuring a few of my favorite highlights from Manny and Bekah's summer wedding. This wedding took place at a private estate on the charming west side of Carson City Nevada. I loved the different shades of green this couple decided on for their accent colors and the simplicity of all the floral's which included baby's breath and silver dollar eucalyptus. This was my first wedding of the 2019 summer and it couldn't have been a more beautiful day. The bride's grandfather performed the ceremony and gave some lovely advice about overcoming trials in marriage and love, acceptance, and forgiveness. The groom shared his vows in English while the bride shared her vows in Spanish. It was a very tender and heartwarming moment for both families. I want to thank this sweet couple for being so kind and creating an effortless day for everyone and a huge thanks to the Brady family! When I first got the phone call to photograph this wedding, I instantly loved that the bride and I shared the same name! (Sara without an H)! And the grooms name is so close to my last name, Brigham/Bingham, that's cool right?! I just love weddings at the Reno Temple. There's a special simplicity to it. The ceremony in the temple is not allowed to be photographed due to sacred religious reasons and their reception was held in Utah, so my job was to photograph them exiting the temple, celebrated by family and close friends, and then photograph their individual portraits. It was a perfect warm and sunny day in April here in northern Nevada. Spring and Fall weddings are secretly my favorite. It's not too hot or too cold. The weather is simply perfect. Also Reno really does have some fantastically beautiful spring blossoms around town, but unfortunately we didn't get much of that is these photos since it was still a little to early in April. Something special I
“Your wedding day should reflect the two of you.” Introducing highlights from Ernie and Abby's wedding at the Landing Resort in South Lake Tahoe, California. This spring wedding in Tahoe was equal parts; white mountain wonderland mixed with warm-cozy beach vibes. Which is very common in Tahoe this time of year! It's not unusual for us to experience all four seasons in the same week. With cooler temperatures the couple handed out personalized fleece blankets as keepsakes, they were super cute so check out the photos below. To begin the big day, the bride and her crew got ready together in the cutest moose-flannel-mountain themed onesies. Of course I secretly wish I had one for myself! When I first arrived, you could feel the love and anticipation in the room as they touched up hair, make-up, and popped champagne. The wedding took place at The Landing Resort which is a beach front hotel in Lake Tahoe. So naturally the couple chose to have their first look take place down on the
I am totally obsessed with Jeff and Katie's engagement photos! Did you know I dream of winter wonderland engagement sessions all year long?! Winter here in Lake Tahoe is simply magical. When I first met with this couple last fall, they told me they wanted to have a winter engagement shoot. With the second half of their photos to be themed. The bride mentioned she was having a cloak made and that her wedding florist/ coordinator (Quality Event Design) was going to do a little something. She tossed around ideas of candles and possibly even a red rose in a glass vase, like in Beauty and the Beast. I thought "Oh how fun! It's going to be beautiful". Fast forward 4 months and I show up to photograph. We started with fun and casual engagement poses and looks. Then Chrissy (owner of QED) and her team showed up. You guys....... I cried inside! The themed photos speak for themselves, so be sure to scroll all the way down. Also, I am
Dan & Megan's wedding took place at the amazing Graeagle Corner Barn in Graeagle, California. Her bouquet was made up of white roses, sunflowers, and baby's-breath, such a stunning combination. Just before the ceremony, the bride asked her father to stop by the house. She surprised him with an intimate father daughter dance outside on the back porch. Just the two of them! Music played as tears flowed. This was my first time experiencing something like this as a photographer. It was absolutely heart warming. Their ceremony took place just behind the barn, surrounded by forest, family, and friends. Their sweet dog played the part of ring bearer. After dinner they danced the night away filled with glow sticks and heart shaped glasses.
