“Your wedding day should reflect the two of you.”
Introducing highlights from Ernie and Abby’s wedding at the Landing Resort in South Lake Tahoe, California. This spring wedding in Tahoe was equal parts; white mountain wonderland mixed with warm-cozy beach vibes. Which is very common in Tahoe this time of year! It’s not unusual for us to experience all four seasons in the same week. With cooler temperatures the couple handed out personalized fleece blankets as keepsakes, they were super cute so check out the photos below.
To begin the big day, the bride and her crew got ready together in the cutest moose-flannel-mountain themed onesies. Of course I secretly wish I had one for myself! When I first arrived, you could feel the love and anticipation in the room as they touched up hair, make-up, and popped champagne.
The wedding took place at The Landing Resort which is a beach front hotel in Lake Tahoe. So naturally the couple chose to have their first look take place down on the beach. We had bright blue sunny skies and wide open beaches.
Their ceremony was held on the rooftop terrace with perfect views of the turquoise waters of Lake Tahoe and snow topped mountains. It was breathtaking!
You can tell these two are so loved and cherished. They were surrounded by close friends and family and everyone seemed so close-knit through out the day.
Wedding details are always my favorite to photograph. You will always see ring shots on my Instagram feed! But two that I especially loved here were the wood slice platters for the dessert table, and the snow frosted pine cones in Abby’s bouquet. Tying everything together with the mountain rustic theme of a Lake Tahoe Wedding.
I would like to thank Ernie and Abby for allowing me the privilege of photographing their wedding day! You were both so kind and wonderful to work with! Abby’s bridesmaids also deserve a high-five! Holly, Mikayle, and Maddison who were SO helpful and fun. Having fabulous bridesmaids is essential to a relaxed and flawless wedding day.
